Emma Watson, one of the stars of the Harry Potter film franchise has donated £1m to a campaign which is aimed at helping those who have been affected by harassment.

The Equality and Human Rights Commission has spoken out about a YouGov poll, which found ‘depressing’ statistics which have revealed that most employers in the UK think that a woman should have to tell employers during recruitment if she is pregnant.

The Court of Justice of the European Union has given its judgment in a case involving the selection of pregnant workers for redundancy. 

Parliament’s Women and Equalities Committee recently held an evidence session as part of its Older People and Employment Inquiry, where it heard that women are more likely to be victims of age discrimination in the workplace than men. 

New research by the Equality and Human Rights Commission has revealed that British employers are ‘living in the dark ages’ and have worrying attitudes towards unlawful behaviour when it comes to recruiting women.
